DEVOPS ENGINEER

RedZone Software is actively seeking a motivated, proactive individual to join our team as a DevOps Engineer. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), extensive experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), and be proficient in Python. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining our cloud-based infrastructure, optimizing our deployment processes, and ensuring the highest levels of system availability and efficiency.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or Pulumi (Pulumi preferred).
  • Manage and optimize AWS services, ensuring efficient and cost-effective use of resources across multiple AWS accounts.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
  • Work closely with development teams to deploy and manage Frontend and Backend applications (Python, Flask, FastAPI) efficiently.
  • Have experience with distributed micro service architectures (AWS EventBridge, SQS, PostgreSQL).
  • Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure high availability and proactive issue resolution (DataDog).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and provide DevOps solutions.
  • Continuously evaluate and implement new technologies to improve the development and deployment processes.
  • Ensure security best practices are followed throughout the infrastructure and application lifecycle.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a DevOps role.
  • Strong experience with AWS services and management.
  • Proficient in writing Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Experience in Python programming, particularly with the FastAPI framework.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or Github Actions.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, DataDog, etc.
  • Understanding of network and security fundamentals.
